Data Protection

Data protection declaration

1. Data protection

etrago, as the operator of this website, takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this data protection declaration.

You can generally use our website without providing any personal data. Personal data is data with which you can be personally identified. If personal data is collected on our website (e.g. name, address or email address as part of our contact form), this is always done on a voluntary basis as far as possible. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent.

We would like to point out that data transmission on the Internet (e.g. when communicating by email) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

2. Cookies

Some of the Internet pages use so-called cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain any viruses. Cookies are used to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser the next time you visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions you require are stored on the legal basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies to ensure technically error-free and optimized provision of its services.

3. Server log files

DThe provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser typ and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP-address

This data cannot be assigned to specific people. This data is not merged with other data sources. We reserve the right to subsequently check this data if we become aware of concrete evidence of illegal use.

The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR, which permits the processing of data to fulfill a contract or pre-contractual measures.

4. Contact form

If you send us inquiries via our contact form, your details from the inquiry form and the contact details you provided there will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We will not pass on this data without your consent.

The data entered in the contact form is therefore processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. All you need to do is send us an informal email. The legality of the data processing operations carried out up to the time of revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.

5. Newsletter data

If you would like to subscribe to the newsletter offered on the website, we need an email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified email address and that you agree to receive the newsletter. No further data is collected. We use this data exclusively to send the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.

The processing of the data entered in the newsletter registration form is carried out exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time.

6. Google-Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies". These are text files that are stored on your computer and that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Google Analytics cookies are stored on the basis of Art. 6 Paragraph 1 Letter f of GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its website and its advertising.

Browser plug-in:

You can prevent cookies from being stored by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Objection to data collection:

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set which will prevent your data from being collected on future visits to this website: Deactivate Google Analytics

You can find more information about how Google Analytics handles user data in Google's privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

Demographic characteristics in Google Analytics:

This website uses the "demographic characteristics" function of Google Analytics. This enables reports to be created that contain information about the age, gender and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google and from visitor data from third parties. This data cannot be assigned to a specific person. You can deactivate this function at any time via the ad settings in your Google account or generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the section “Objection to data collection”.

7. Online presence in social media

On the basis of our legitimate interests within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f. GDPR, we maintain online presences within social networks and platforms in order to communicate with the customers, interested parties and users active there and to inform them about our services there. When you access the respective networks and platforms, the terms and conditions and data processing guidelines of their respective operators apply.

Unless otherwise stated in our data protection declaration, we process the data of users if they communicate with us within the social networks and platforms, e.g. write posts on our online presences or send us messages.

8. Use of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram Plugins

Our website uses so-called social plugins (“plugins”) from the social networks Facebook and the microblogging services Twitter and Instagram. These services are offered by the companies Facebook Inc., Twitter Inc. and Instagram LLC. (“providers”).

Facebook is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA

(“Facebook”). An overview of Facebook plugins and their appearance can be found here:

https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins

Twitter is operated by Twitter Inc., 1355 Market St, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA94103, USA (“Twitter”). You can find an overview of the Twitter buttons and their appearance here:

https://about.twitter.com/en_us/company/brand-resources.html

Instagram is operated by Instagram LLC., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA

(“Instagram”). You can find an overview of the Instagram buttons and their appearance here:

When you access a page on our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the Facebook, Twitter or Instagram servers. The content of the plugin is sent directly to your browser by the respective provider and integrated into the page. By integrating the plugin, the providers receive the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page on our website, even if you do not have a profile or are not currently logged in. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a server of the respective provider in the USA and stored there.

If you are logged in to one of the services, the providers can directly assign the visit to our website to your profile on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the "Like", "Tweet" or "Instagram" button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a server of the provider and stored there. The information is also published in the social network, on your Twitter or Instagram account and displayed to your contacts there.

The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by

the providers as well as your related rights and setting options to protect your

privacy can be found in the providers' data protection information.

Facebook privacy policy: http://www.facebook.com/policy.php

Twitter privacy policy: https://twitter.com/privacy

Instagram privacy policy: https://help.instagram.com/155833707900388/

If you do not want Facebook, Twitter or Instagram to assign the data collected via our website directly to your profile in the respective service, you must log out of the relevant service before visiting our website. You can also completely prevent the loading of the plug-ins using add-ons for your browser, e.g. with the script blocker "NoScript" (http://noscript.net/).

9. Integration of third party services

etrago uses services or content from third parties on its website. This involves links to other websites (for more information, see "Imprint/Liability for links"). Such service providers usually need the IP address of users so that they can actually offer their services (or provide content). The selection of providers for such services or content is done carefully and with great care. We only try to include those whose providers only use the IP address to deliver the content. We have no influence on which data the respective third-party provider stores and are not responsible for the data protection regulations of these third-party providers. We recommend that you read the respective data protection regulations of the websites or providers carefully.

10. User rights

As a user, you have the right to receive information about which personal data has been stored about you free of charge upon request. You also have the right to correct incorrect data and to restrict the processing or delete your personal data. If applicable, you can also assert your right to data portability. If you believe that your data has been processed unlawfully, you can file a complaint with the responsible supervisory authority.

11. Deletion of data

If your request does not conflict with a legal obligation to retain data (e.g. data retention), you have the right to have your data deleted. Data stored by us will be deleted if it is no longer required for its intended purpose and there are no statutory retention periods. If deletion cannot be carried out because the data is required for permissible legal purposes, data processing will be restricted. In this case, the data will be blocked and not processed for other purposes.

12. Right of objection

Users of this website can exercise their right of objection and object to the processing of their personal data at any time.

If you would like to have the personal data stored about you corrected, blocked, deleted or provided with information, or if you have questions about the collection, processing or use of your personal data or would like to revoke consents you have given, please contact the following email address: kontakt@etrago.de
